international winner of the Imperial Palace's two-year-old "Be A Legend" - Celebrity Impersonator contest. Impersonating Neil Diamond, he beat out 18 other contestants and walked away with the grand prize of $750 and an audition with the "Legends In Concert"

Neil Diamond tribute artist, Jason Scott has been busy lately. His latest achievement has
been being nominated for a 2012 Reel Award. Let us digress a bit, first, to see what Mr. Scott
has been up to...
Back in 2010, after showcasing at his first tribute artist convention, The Sunburst
(http://sunburstconvention.com/) in Orlando Florida, Jason was presented with the Sunburst
Platinum Showcase Award.
In February 2011 Jason Scott, and family, traveled from British Columbia, Canada to Las
Vegas, Nevada to attend the Celebrity Impersonators Convention (CIC)
(http://celebrityimpersonatorconventions.com/), The Reel Awards (http://thereelawards.com
/home) and the Vegas Tribute Idol (celebrity-lookalike-in-national/celebrity-lookalike-
in-national/www.thereelawards.com/tra/new-cic-stuff).
Jason not only attended the above events, but he was actively a part of them, performing on
the outdoor stage at the Fremont Street Experienc!
This talented musician took 2nd place for the Vegas Tribute Idol which earned him an
appearance in the Showroom at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino before the Country
Superstars Tribute Show (http://www.vegas4locals.com/couponcountrysuperstarstribute.html).
Jason Scott, being a tribute artist to Neil Diamond, performs "Diamond Forever A
Celebration of Neil Diamond." The act reflects the music and showmanship that has made Neil
Diamond one of the best selling, singer-songwriters of all time.
Scott's solo tribute performance personifies and delivers the look, sound, moves and music
of icon Neil Diamond, and now he has garnered awards to boot! Diamond fans also
enjoy Scott, especially his Celebration of Niel Diamond (http://www.diamondforever.ca/)
One year later, from February 20-22, 2012, at the same location - the Golden Nugget in Las
Vegas, Nevada, Jason Scott and family will visit, attend and perform (Jason that is) on the
stage during the CIC.
To top it off, Jason has been nominated for a "Pop and Rock for Reel" Award. The 2012 Reel
Awards will be on Monday, February 20th, and Jason will be there to enjoy seeing his friends
winning their awards, and hopefully, Jason himself, will also win an award!

everybody again and visiting my future second home town, having fun at the

evening, but now I'm going to have to sit through the awards ceremony fretting

Some might be asking what Jason Scott has been doing between celebrity lookalike
conventions and what the future has in store for him.

"I finished up (the year) flying around Canada in 2011 with a big corporate
Christmas show in Vancouver this past December, and I took New Years off
this year.
There is one upcoming gig I am really looking forward to performing. It's the
Festival of Giving this coming April in Chatham-Kent Ontario. The Festival is a
charity event created to support the Children's Treatment Centre of
Chatham-Kent.
Over the past few years the total amounts of money donated have been
staggering. Last year the Festival of Giving extravaganza brought in over
$600,000.00 in dollars and in donations, and the organizers for this year's event are
hoping to do even better this time around.
The event will be held at the massive brand new Chatham-Kent Conference and
Exposition Centre. Chatham-Kent is about a 45 minute drive from Windsor Ontario.
Of course Windsor is the city across the river from Detroit Michigan.
